Japanese Tochi, or Japanese Horse Chestnut, is a light-colored hardwood known for its gentle grain, creamy tone, and silky-smooth texture. It brings a sense of calm and softness to any space, making it an excellent choice for minimalist or Japandi-style interiors. While not as dense as oak or walnut, Tochi holds up well as a tabletop for everyday indoor use when properly sealed and cared for. Its unique character and workability make it perfect for designs that emphasize simplicity, flow, and natural warmth.
